A village is celebrating after plans for a huge mobile phone mast were withdrawn.
More than 100 people attended Pebmarsh Parish Council’s meeting to discuss Arquiva Services Ltd’s planning application.
The company was hoping to build an electronic station, featuring a giant mast, six antennas, two satellite dishes, an access track and six equipment cabinets.
It was due to be built within a fenced compound on land west of New Wood, Cross End, Pebmarsh.
The proposed place for the base attracted criticism from residents, and more than 120 people submitted objection comments about the plans.
