Plans to turn a former pub into a school look set to get the green light.
The proposal by Van Diemans Property Company Ltd to turn the Sugar Loaves into a school have been recommended for approval by planning officers at Braintree Council.
Part of the plans include the demolition of an existing out building at the Swan Street premises in Sible Hedingham.
The proposed school use would be operated by Teaseldown School, which is an Independent Therapeutic Day School for children who have struggled in mainstream school and/or other similar schools.
The school would have no more than ten pupils at a time and no more than 11 tutors and ancillary support staff, such as cleaners and administration staff.
Four letters of objection have been received, three of which have been received from one household.
