More than 400 exhibitors are expected at the 37th Aldham Old Time Rally.

Organised jointly by the North East Essex Tractor and Engineering Club and the Earls Colne Scout and Guide group, the day features a wide variety of steam traction engines and miniatures, vintage tractors, stationary engines, commerical vehicles, motorbikes, vintage and classic cars, static displays and horticultural machinery.

There is also a lot on offer for military enthusiasts, with vehicles from both sides of the front line, including jeeps, transport vehicles, personnel carriers and possibly a tank.

There are always a wide variety of trade stalls present ranging from autojumble to greeting cards and garden furniture to crafts and garden plants. There is also a craft tent where you may see local crafters at work.

Refreshments are always available ranging from ice creams to burgers and fish and chips to a beer tent.

The rally is being held this weekend and will feature a traditional vintage auction on the Saturday afternoon at about 3.15pm.

It takes place just off the A1124 at Chalkney Meadows, Colchester Road, White Colne and car parking will be provided.

The rally opens each day at 10am and entrance costs £6 for adults, with accompanied children going free.
