Pupils rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into cooking with Jamie Oliver.
The famous chef cooked alongside pupils from St Giles’ Primary School, Church Street, Great Maplestead, and one million others across the UK via a live podcast on May 16.
Children made a rainbow wrap by grating a colourful variety of vegetables and fruits and dressing them, following Jamie’s instructions on the online video.
All the food used by St Giles was donated by Sainsbury’s and the supermarket also sent two staff members to assist in the cooking.
Headteacher Jinnie Nichols said: “It was such a lovely day and the children all had a great time.
“They learnt so much from taking part and the recipe Jamie chose was fantastic as it introduced the children to new foods, like the raw beetroot which turned everything purple.
“If Jamie does it again next year we will definitely take part.”
