Swing back to the 60s with a tribute to The Shadows.
The Shadows, perhaps best known for being the backing band for Cliff Richard, had 69 singles which charted in the UK between the 1950s and the 2000s, including Apache, Foot Tapper, Savage, Sleepwalk and Don’t Make My Baby Blue.
The band are attributed as being pioneers of the four-member instrumental format, consisting of a lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar and drums, and they covered a wide range of styles including pop, rock and ballards.
The tribute show stars Ritchy Rich and Steve Wood as two of the core members of the band, Hank and Bruce and they will be performing many of the band’s greatest hits.
“An audience with Hank and Bruce” will be coming to the Empire Theatre, Halstead on June 1, with doors at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Tickets cost £12.50 and are available between 12 noon and 10pm daily from the Theatre’s Box Office on 07778 025490 and online from essex-live.co.uk.
