A care home is still failing to protect those it cares for from dangers associated with medicine use according to a new report.
The report by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) into their inspection of Attwood’s Manor Care Home, Braintree Road, Halstead in April was released earlier this week and it has concluded that the home was “not safe” in its medicine administration.
The report also found that the home was not meeting the CQC’s standard of people being given the medicines they need, when they need them, in a safe way.
The report by the CQC, the regulator of health and social care in England, reads: “The provider did not have appropriate arrangements in place for the safe administration, disposal, recording or management of medicines.
“We judged this to have a moderate impact on people who use the service.”
