HELP thousands of visitors step back into the country’s Tudor past.
The National Trust is seeking people to volunteer at the 800-year-old Grange Barn, which is the largest wooden structure of its type in northern Europe, and also at the Tudor merchant’s house Paycocke’s, which was built by the cloth merchant Thomas Paycocke 500 years ago to show off his family’s wealth.
A full insight into the vital work the volunteers do and a chance to sign up will be given at the open morning at Coggeshall Grange Barn, Grange Hill, Coggeshall, on May 24, from 9.30am until 11.30am.
Volunteers are especially needed for the weekends and people do not have to commit to a regular day each week or month.
