A day of music, scooters and barbecues has been organised by the Earls Colne Recreation Club and Going Underground.

Firstly there will be a scooter ride leaving from clothes shop Going Underground, The Centre, Halstead, at 12pm on June 7. This ride is expected to arrive at the Recreation Club, Halstead Road, between 2.30 and 3pm, where there will be a barbeque and licensed bar available, plus there will be a classic scooter display, including vintage, custom and racing scooters, inside the clubhouse.

The display, from 3pm to 5pm is free of charge and is open to everyone not just those who took part in the scooter ride out.

Following on from this, at 7.30pm the club will open for the evening event which will see a live show with music from Quadrophonia, marketed as the ultimate and complete tribute to The Who.

They wear authentic costumes, amps and instruments to relive some of the most iconic hits of the 60s and 70s, including Won't Be Fooled Again, Baba O'Riley, Pinball Wizard, Substitute, Happy Jack and many more.

Their set includes a full light and laser show and they will be follwed by DJs playing hits of the 60s, ska, A&B and soul music.

Doors open at 7.30pm and the band play from 9-11pm followed by the DJs. There will be a licensed bar and hot food available during the evening.

Overnight camping is available for free, but most be booked in advance to reserve a pitch, with secure parking and toilet and shower facilities. Breakfast is available at an additional cost. You must quote your ticket number to book your overnight camping pitch.
