Residents flock to help geese

First published in News

Residents of Bocking have helped wandering geese and goslings to safety.

The two geese and their seven goslings, were walking along Church Street yesterday, when they were spotted by a passerby.

Residents gathered to help herd the geese to safety but the two adult geese were protective.

SJ Claydon said: “The parents hissed and used their wings to protect their young, we had to keep reminding them we were there to help!”

The geese and their young did not go back to the water near Fennes, but the residents did manage to herd them into a field away from the road.
