A new exhibition of specially-commissioned photographs by Lucy Dalzell is on display at Paycocke’s House and Garden in Coggeshall.
‘The Wool Trade Then and Now’, will be running until November 2 exploring the building’s origins in the medieval wool trade.
It looks at four different subjects that reflect on the similarities and differences of the wool trade of today compared with 500 years ago when the House was built by Thomas Paycocke, a wealthy Tudor wool merchant.
Simon Cranmer, operations manager, said: “We’re delighted to give visitors another reason to visit – something that is both contemporary and relevant to the history of Paycocke’s House.
“Lucy Dalzell is a talented photographer to have captured such different themes so capably in the same exhibition and we’re proud to host her work.”
Paycocke’s House and Garden is open 11am to 5pm, Wednesday to Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays.
Admission is free for National Trust members or £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. Grange Barn can also be visited.
