Lab coats and goggles were the order of the day as schoolchildren celebrated National Science and Engineering Week in style.

All 75 pupils at St John the Baptist Primary School in Pebmarsh took part in the event, which kicked off on Monday when the youngsters dressed up in science-themed fancy dress.

Their outfits included mad scientists, doctors, aliens and robots.
