A Braintree vets has issued an urgent warning after three dogs became ill in the same area of town.
Millennium Veterinary Practice, based near the Freeport Shopping Village, posted the following statement on its Facebook page: “This is a warning to all dog owners.
“Keep away from the Recreation Ground along the John Ray Street and Beaufort Gardens area, off Coggeshall Road.
“We have had three dogs, with different owners, which have shown symptoms of poisoning causing seizures.
“We believe it may be related to a poison or toxins found on mouldy food waste the dogs may have found in the area.”
The warning was posted online yesterday.
