An artist will be holding an exhibition after being inspired by the scenery where she lives.
Jan Cole, of Spring Way, Sible Hedingham, moved to the district in 2007 and many of her paintings are landscapes painted within two miles of her home.
Ms Cole, 66, said: “I'm particularly inspired by the River Colne and the woods, fields and old buildings around it.
“This ancient landscape, settled since prehistoric times, is largely unspoilt, and provides a source of subjects to paint throughout the four seasons.”
More than 30 framed paintings and other pieces will be on display at the Gosfield Gallery in the Gosfield Shopping Village, Peterfield Road, until March 31.
Work will be available for purchase, priced between £15 and £200, with cards available for £1.50 and prints for £3.
