Three men arrested after a man was allegedly slashed with a weapon in Halstead have been rebailed until March 28.

The incident happened outside Friends Chinese restaurant, in High Street, at 11.30pm on November 29.

An Essex Police spokesman said officers were called to “reports of people fighting with weapons”.

A 21-year-old Halstead man suffered a deep cut to his shoulder.

A 47-year-old man from Croydon, and a 49-year-old man, of no fixed address, were both arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon.

A 29-year-old man from Sudbury was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
