A schoolboy will get the opportunity to one of meet his idols after he was punished at school for a wrestling-inspired haircut.
Aidan Fradley, 12, was allegedly put into isolation at Ramsey Academy, in Halstead, after he had the letters “TNA” shaved into his hair ahead of a trip to London to watch Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling at Wembley Arena.
Mum Sophie Turkentine, of Mitchell Avenue, was furious with the school’s tough stance.
Deputy headteacher Calum Leys insisted the school’s policies were in line with others and said it did not permit “extreme hairstyles”.
After reading the story online, TNA bosses in America contacted the Gazette to offer Aidan the chance to meet one of his favourite wrestlers, Gunner, next time he is in the UK.
They also plan to send him complimentary tickets to next year's event at Wembley and TNA merchandise.
