A LORRY driver has been jailed for nine months for his role in a crash which left a baby with life-changing injuries.
Gendrihs Kuplovs-Oginskis, 44, was driving a bread delivery lorry which smashed into a Vauxhall Zafira on the B1024 Coggeshall Road, Earls Colne, on Thursday September 6 2012.
Kuplovs-Oginskis, of Central Avenue, Southend, admitted dangerous driving in December last year and was sentenced yesterday at Chelmsford Crown Court.
He was also banned from driving for two years.
The three occupants of the Vauxhall suffered serious injuries, including 15-month-old Maisie Moon who received fractures to her skull, leg and wrist.
She remained in Addenbrookes Hospital for many weeks and is still recuperating from the trauma of the incident.
