A local playwright has written a play about Coggeshall after being inspired by the history of the town.
Michael Horne’s play, Coggeshall Misfits, is about the “interesting characters” from the town’s history and he will be presenting it this weekend.
Mr Horne, who lives in Bridge Street in Coggeshall, was part of a research team looking into the history of Coggeshall and building’s in the town from the 16th Century.
The play will be performed by the Coggeshall Amateur Theatrical Society tomorrow and Sunday.
Coggeshall Misfits will begin at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.
Advance tickets are available from The Normans in Stoneham Street, Coggeshall for £5.
