A remarkable great-great-grandmother who is still looking after herself at 100 says her family are responsible for keeping her young.

Halstead resident Gladys Stone celebrated her landmark birthday with daughter Penny Cull, of Johnston Close, son Rodney Stone, of Chapel Hill, and the rest of their family on Sunday.

Despite her age, Mrs Stone lives largely independently in her flat in Elizabeth Way, where she has been since 1977.
