Halstead in shock as police reveal second violent attack in one night
Residents have spoken of their shock after police released details of a second violent attack in one night in Halstead.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after being struck with a metal bar in the Evans Court area of Parsonage Street.
In an unrelated incident on the same night, a 21-year-old man was allegedly slashed with a weapon near Friends Chinese restaurant in High Street.
Councillor Julia Allen said: “It does worry me that these incidents seem to be more brutal and violent now than when I was growing up.”
