Fears remain over the future of the family planning clinic at Halstead Hospital, despite plans to move services to Colchester being scrapped.
Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust had been considering closing the clinic, which provides contraception and sexual health services, but last week announced it would remain after all following positive feedback from staff.
Despite the U-turn, the trust has admitted the frequency of the clinics will be reviewed.
Town and district councillor Jackie Pell, who is also a trustee of the League of Friends of Halstead Hospital, said: "A reduced service is better than no service but I don't see why we should have to see a reduction at all."
