Halstead: Stuffed beaver, buffalo and warthog among items taken in bizarre burglary
4:10pm Wednesday 30th October 2013 in News
A burglar has proved to be an eager beaver by stealing a series of stuffed animals and oil paintings.
Police are appealing after the items were stolen from an outbuilding in Bures on Saturday evening, at about 11.30pm.
An offender has entered the premises, made an untidy search and stolen stuffed animals including a beaver, iguana, warthog, panther, impala and wildebeest.
Several oil paintings were also stolen, including a huntsman and four hounds, a girl pitching hay, a huntsman and single hound and a white and brown dog with French writing in the background.
Anyone with information about the crime should call PC Lloyd Shelley from Sudbury on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
