A TINY pony will be competing against horses of all shapes, heights and sizes at this year’s London Olympia International Horse Show.

Lollypop, a miniature Shetland stallion, won Champion of The Day at the regional final of the competition with his owner Anne Robinson, 58, at Brook Farm Training Centre in Stapleford Abbotts on September 28.

The pair are now through to the Grand Final of the Veteran Horse Showing category at the international horse show and will compete on December 19.

Lollypop, who goes by the show name of Longmeadow Charles, stands just 28 inches high but according to Mrs Robinson what he lacks in height he makes up for in character.

The 58-year-old, of Burtons Green, said: “He loves the shows, I think because he is a stallion he likes going out and having a bit of a look about."
