The search is on to find the shopkeepers and staff who go the extra mile for their customers.
For the fourth year of the Love Where You Shop competition, which was previously called the Love Your High Street awards, the focus will be on customer service.
Braintree Council in partnership with The Times and the Halstead Gazette is looking for the local businesses that pride themselves on exceptional customer service.
Councillor Chris Siddall, cabinet member for prosperity and growth said: “From the local butcher who knows what cut of meat to prefer to the café that knows how you take your coffee, our local stores define our high street and our town.
“In our district we have some excellent examples of stores that really go above and beyond for their customers, and we want residents to vote for the stores they feel really deserve an award.”
Nomination forms are available in the Braintree and Witham Times office in the High Street, Braintree, via the Council’s Contact Magazine or from stores across the district.
People can also complete an nomination form online braintree.gov.uk Nominations are open until February 28 and the winners will be announced in March.
