Halstead: More than 100 dogs given free health check ups
1:00pm Sunday 13th October 2013 in News
More than 100 dogs had a free health check as part of a drive to ensure pets are micro-chipped.
The events were held throughout September in Halstead, Witham, Braintree and Rayne as the PSDA Pet Check campaign teamed up with Braintree Council’s dog warden.
Councillor Wendy Schmitt, cabinet member for place, said: “We have recently been highlighting the rise in the number of stray dogs and events such as these an important way in getting the message across that micro-chipping your pets is vital.”
