Halstead: Plans emerge for second potential solar farm in Gosfield
3:00pm Sunday 6th October 2013 in News
A second set of plans are in the pipeline for a solar farm in Gosfield.
Push Energy wants to cover more than 50 acres of farmland north of Gosfield Airfield with solar panels and is set to hold a public consultation meeting on Monday ahead of submitting a formal planning application.
The firm’s plans come after Kinetica Solar requested a screening opinion from Braintree Council in May over its own proposals for a similarly sized solar farm on land at Aylewards Farm, in Braintree Road, Gosfield.
Monday’s public exhibition will take place at Gosfield Lake Golf Club from 6pm until 8pm.
Depending on the feedback received, Push Energy hope to submit a formal planning application within a month.
