5:00pm Saturday 28th September 2013 in News
A mum was left shaken after a trouserless man knocked on her door at 5.30am just three weeks after her hanging baskets were set on fire.
Sophie Turkentine, 32, was asleep downstairs at her home in Mitchell Avenue, Halstead when she heard tapping on her front door.
She said: “My mum lives next door so I assumed it would be her boyfriend who had locked himself out.
“But this chap was standing there in just his boxers, a jumper and socks asking if I can let him in. I told him “No, you need to find the right house,” and he stood there for about 10 minutes trying to work out where to go.
“I’ve got no clue why he knocked here but he was definitely under the influence of something.I was a bit shaken at the time “It’s only three weeks since my hanging baskets were torched so I am a bit concerned.
“I’d just like to know who it was and why they chose to knock on my door.”
