Halstead: Family day out at railway and toy fair
9:00am Saturday 7th September 2013 in News
Families can enjoy a great day out at an annual railway and toy fair.
The Braintree and Halstead Model Railway Exhibition and Toy Fair takes place on Sunday, from 10am to 4pm.
Train enthusiasts will be able to view the miniatures on display, with a collection including mini replicas of trains, buses and carriages.
There will also be replicas of Halstead railway station and other well-known stations.
Other attractions on the day include visiting historic vehicles, open top and mystery bus tours.
The event is taking place at the Yeldham Transport Museum, on the Hunnable Industrial Estate in Great Yeldham, which is also open to fair visitors throughout the day.
The museum, situated in an old First World War hangar moved from RAF Biggin Hill in Kent, houses vintage buses, railway vehicles and military vehicles.
Admission is £2.50 for adults and free for children under 16.
A free bus service will be in operation from Braintree railway station, via Halstead.
To book a table for £12, or for more information, call Steve on 01787 474412, email email@example.com or visit braintreeandhalsteadmrc.co.uk
