12:00pm Thursday 5th September 2013 in News
CLASSIC car lovers will feel right at home as an annual event returns to Hedingham Castle for its seventh year.
The Classics at the Castle event is a dedicated event showcasing Porsche cars built between 1948 and 1973.
This year’s event will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the creation of one of the company’s flagship cars, the Porsche 911.
Guest drivers John Fitzpatrick and Bob Garretson will feature in a parade, as a procession of special cars are driven up a hill with a commentary about each vehicle.
This year’s event at the castle will also welcome drivers with modern Porsches built post-1973.
Judges will be awarding prizes in three prestigious categories for the stand-out cars of the day.
* Classics at the Castle takes place on Sunday, from 10am to 5pm.
Entry is £20 for a car and driver, with each extra passenger costing £5, or £10 for pedestrians. Children under 12 can enter for free.
Call 020 8875 8684 or pay in cash on the day.
