Halstead: One month to say what new community centre should include
1:00pm Saturday 31st August 2013 in News
Community groups have one month to give their views on what Halstead’s new community centre should include.
Any organisations hoping to use the centre, which will be built in Butler Road following an anonymous donation of land, are being asked to fill in questionnaires.
It is hoped the new £1million community hub could open in 2015 and possibly include town council offices, a library and large meeting hall.
The trustees of the hall are asking potential user groups what they would like to included and are visiting similar halls across the county.
Trustee David Iles said: “The aim is for the community centre to be a hive of activity, a natural hub and a ‘go-to’ place for the people of Halstead."
The questionnaires can be collected from Halstead Town Council, Mill House, The Causeway and must be returned by September 30.
