Halstead: All aboard for the Chappel Beer Festival

Beer drinkers and cider swiggers will be pleased to hear that 400 beers and more than 50 ciders will be pulling into the East Anglian Railway Station for the return of the 27th Chappel Beer Festival, which is returning to the museum at the start of next month.
The festival in Chappel and Wakes Colne Station, Wakes Colne, will be running from Tuesday 3 September until Saturday 7. Gates open on Tuesday at 6pm until 11pm, and 11am until 11pm on the Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Entry after 5pm on Friday is by pre-booked ticket only, priced at £7 from chappelbeerfestival.org.uk
Entry fee: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (before 5:00pm), Friday (before 5:00pm): £3.00 Thursday evening after 5:30pm: £5.00 Saturday: £4.00
Children are admitted free, but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
