9:00am Saturday 17th August 2013 in News
A pupil launched a compensation claim against their school after they pushed through a window by another child.
The incident, which took place at Ramsey College, in Colne Road, Halstead, is one of 79 claims lodged by staff and pupils at Essex schools in the past three years.
Essex County Council (ECC) has paid out more than £75,000 after it was found to be liable in 14 of the cases.
The pupil, who was injured after being pushed through the window in October 2011, claimed for £13,000, but was paid only £594 by ECC.
