Railway saw 4m more passengers last year
ALMOST four million more people travelled by train in the region last year.
Train operator Greater Anglia saw 126.4 million passenger journeys in 2012-13 compared to the previous year.
The latest figures, published by the Office for Rail Regulation, also showed the operator employed 95 more staff.
More trains ran on time, with only 1.9 per cent cancelled and 0.2 per cent “significantly late”, compared to 2.2 per cent and 1.3 per cent the previous year respectively.
