Families and football fans are being urged to get behind their local club to ensure its long-term future.
Halstead Town Football Club, in Rosemary Lane, is keen to encourage more of the town’s residents to visit the club.
Officials hope a financial boost will allow the club to undertake desperately needed improvements to facilities.
Membership secretary Tracy Hall, whose son Callum plays for one of the club’s youth teams, is one of a group of volunteers who keep the club running.
She said: “The club house is a big issue - it is in serious need of a re-fit."
