Braintree: Doctors to take over buying health services

GPs will lead decisions on health services
A group of GPs has been formally authorised to lead the NHS in the Braintree district.
The Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group will be responsible for designing and buying health and well-being services from April 1.
Doctors and NHS managers will have a £390million budget to spend on NHS services including hospital care, mental health and community services.
They will replace the Mid Essex Primary Care Trust.
