Braintree district: London to Paris cyclists plan fundraising golf day
A fundraising golf day is being held for a pair of cyclists planning on travelling from London to Paris.
Kevin Edwards and Darrell Weller will be cycling in June to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Kevin, of East Street, Braintree, said: “A work colleague’s son is currently receiving treatment there and we have friends whose lives have been touched by this wonderfully special place.”
In the run-up to the cycle, a number of fundraising events are being held to help the cause.
This includes a golf day, which is taking place at the Essex Golf and Country Club in Earls Colne on Good Friday, March 29.
For £40, players get breakfast, an 18-hole round of golf and a meal of ham, egg and chips afterwards.
