Hard-line police tactics have forced a well-known trouble maker out of the county.

Darren Holford, 23, who lives in Sible Hedingham has vowed to leave Essex and move to Suffolk because he claims Halstead police are harassing him.

He was slapped with an anti social behaviour order (ASBO) in October 2011 after years of terrorising former neighbours on the White Horse Avenue estate in Halstead.

Essex Police has defended the hard line they have taken against Mr Holford.

Inspector Paul Davey said: “We make no apologies for continuing to enforce the ASBO to the full extent of the law in order to keep the people of Halstead safe from Darren Holford’s anti-social behaviour.
