Halstead: Learn how to paint with molten wax at craft fair
12:00pm Tuesday 26th February 2013 in News
A craft and design fair will include a demonstration of how to paint with molten wax.
The demonstration of encaustic art will be led by Toni Peers, a member of the Guild of Essex Craftsmen.
Visitors to the We Are Handmade spring craft and design fair will be able create their own encaustic art cards for £1, which could be an ideal Mother’s Day present.
The fair is returning to the Queen’s Hall in Halstead after a successful visit a year ago.
There will be a selection of makers and designers, including jewellery designers Hawkwood Creations and Nanuk Jewellery.
Other exhibitors include Natural Craft wood carved products, Peter Dean Ceramics and Peter Bolton Photo Art.
The fair will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday. Entry is free.
Shoppers can also enjoy tea and cake on vintage crockery, served by Plum Fairy.
