Halstead: Affordable housing plan for garage site
A housing association wants to demolish a set of garages to build four affordable homes.
Greenfields Community Housing has submitted a planning application for the site in Ronald Road, Halstead.
The development would include one four-bedroom house, one two-bedroom house and two two-bedroom bungalows.
The site currently provides space for 28 vehicles, but there would only be room for nine vehicles after the housing is built.
Braintree Council is expected to decide on the application in early March.
