Prospective dinner party hosts have been urged to stage charity feasts in aid of the air ambulance.

Last year’s Great Essex and Herts Feast, which is held to help raise funds for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust, saw 80 hosts from across the two counties entertain 1,000 guests and raise more than £18,000.

Nathan Roulson, of Halstead, hosted a ticket only event at The Curry Cottage, in Head Street, which raised £830.

He said: “I really want to encourage people to become hosts, it’s not difficult and you will be overwhelmed with how much people want to contribute and help.

“You’ll also have a great sense of pride in raising money, no matter how much or how little for such a great cause.”

Feasts, which can take any form, must take place during March.
