Halstead: Couple mark 72 years of wedded bliss

A couple who met as teenagers are celebrating 72 years of marriage.
Peggy and Dick Finch were 14 when they met in a Halstead street and married in 1941, both aged 20, in the town’s Holy Trinity Church.
Now both 92, they have two children - Diane and Michael - six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and three adopted great-grandchildren.
The couple, of Highbury Terrace, Halstead, will celebrate their anniversary today.
