A shop that closed on Christmas Eve is due to reopen in March.

The Cats Protection charity shop in Halstead High Street was closed after the manager left and it was waiting to recruit.

Area retail manager, Jacqui Graham, said: “We have recruited a new manager from the Halstead area, who started work at the end of February.

“The shop will be open on March 5.”

It will undergo a refurbishment and relaunch and donations of stock are urgently needed.

These can be given to volunteers when the shop reopens.
