Schoolchildren honoured a heroic pilot exactly 50 years after his death.
Colonel Wendell Kelley died on January 15, 1963, after his US Air Force plane crashed in a field off Halstead Road, Gosfield.
Mr Kelley had remained on-board the plane to prevent it crashing into the village's primary school.
On Tuesday afternoon at 1.45pm, Gosfield Primary School held a special assembly to mark the exact anniversary of the crash.
