Halstead: QD takes over discount store

A discount chain has taken over a high street shop.
QD Stores has bought Thingmebobs, which has a store in Halstead.
The retailer said Thingmebobs will continue to trade under its own name and no staff redundancies are planned.
Halstead's store employs ten people.
Justin Farrington Smith, group managing director for QD Stores, said: “This deal takes our group into market towns we have long aspired to attain a presence in.”
