Halstead: Mum raises more than £1,000 for 'embarrassing' women's problems charity

A mum has more than doubled the amount she wanted to raise for a charity which supports others with “embarrassing women’s problems”.

Liz Rayner, 32, took on a 30 mile trek across London and has so far managed to collect more than £1,014 for Endometriosis UK.

Miss Rayner, who lives off Beridge Road, Halstead, appeared in the Gazette in October last year and is hoping to set up a support group for other local women with the condition.

Endometriosis is a gynaecological problem where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other areas of the body.
