HALSTEAD farmers have described the impact of recent heavy rainfall on their crop as “disheartening”.
Some are unable to reach sections of their land because it is so water logged and say it could take up to three years for their fields to recover.
According to Met Office statistics, last year was the second wettest on record with 1,330.7mm of rain falling.
