Halstead: Retailers go head to head over town centre store
Two big name supermarkets have gone head to head over the former EMD factory site.
Bosses at Scott Properties, the company which is developing the Kings Road site, said they are in advanced talks with two retailers about who will open a store there.
Plans for a 23,000 sq ft shop were given the green light in October.
