A well-known estate agent who raised thousands of pounds for charity has died suddenly.
David Oswick, who lived in Halstead for 47 years, collapsed at home on November 18 and died the following day, aged 68.
Although he had been unwell for several months, his death was unexpected.
The chartered surveyor moved to the town in 1965 and was branch manager of Surridge and Son, before setting up his own independent business in Head Street as a chartered surveyor and estate agent where he continued to work until his death.
Mr Oswick’s funeral will be held at St Andrew’s Church next Thursday at 11.30am.
A collection will be held for CLIC Sargent.
