Thieves stole urns from family graves.
Siblings Geoffrey Nichols and Wendy Argent discovered the heavy pots had been taken from the graves in Halstead Cemetery last Sunday.
A marble urn had stood on the grave of their great-grandparents George and Harriet Catchpole and a granite one had been placed on the grave of their parents Edward and Joyce Nichols, grandmother Nora Davis and great-aunt Lucy Catchpole.
Mrs Argent, of Abels Road, Halstead, said an ornament also appeared to have been removed from another grave nearby.
