Eamonn Holmes has hinted he may be going into the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The presenter and self-confessed CBB fan aroused suspicion over a possible appearance in the new series of the Channel 5 reality TV programme during Monday’s episode of This Morning.

Eamonn, 56, said: “Celebrity Big Brother starts this week – so I’ll not be seeing you next week.”

He added: “I can’t say more than that.”

The TV star previously explained that his wife and This Morning co-host Ruth Langsford did not want him to appear on the fly-on-the-wall series, and it’s all down to him flashing his underpants.

“I have been asked to do Celebrity Big Brother and I say to Ruth, ‘I don’t think we can ignore this now’.

“She is like: ‘That is not happening. I am not having people see what you’re really like. You and your underwear’.”

Eamonn had a brief stint on the show during the last series earlier this year when he hosted a live segment on spin-off programme Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.

The new series of Celebrity Big Brother airs on Thursday July 28.

Stars including soap actress Danniella Westbrook, former Strictly Come Dancing professional Kristina Rihanoff and the late US music producer David Gest appeared on the most recent series.
