Chance The Rapper has made music history after Coloring Book became the first streaming-exclusive album to make it onto the Billboard 200 chart.

Chano released his latest offering exclusively on Apple Music on May 12 and in the June 4-dated chart due to be published on May 24 he debuts at number eight, according to Billboard.

To reach the top 10, Coloring Book was streamed 57.5 million times, which Billboard counts as 38,000 equivalent album units as it considers every 1,500 streams to be one album unit.

The Billboard 200 takes into consideration figures from the US including traditional album sales, track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums.

While Coloring Book is the first album to make it into the Billboard 200 based solely on streams, Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo also recently made it in based predominantly on streams.

Coloring Book will be available on other streaming services from May 27.
